The Hummingbird Trip

No trip to Argentina should be planned without first talking with Loli at Hummingbird. We first reached out to Loli in early 2020 to plan a customized scavenger hunt for our family with young kids. We wanted to be able to explore Buenos Aires but also make it fun for our kids. Loli was very responsive and thorough during our communications. When our trip was cancelled due to the pandemic, Loli and I stayed in touch. We finally were able to take the trip in June 2022 and it was incredible. Loli and her team planned the perfect hunt and outing for our family. The hunt was perfectly tailored to our needs and the attention to detail and effort Loli and her team put into it is mindboggling. But Hummingbird is so much more...Loli graciously offered to plan several other details of our trip always considering our unique needs and never pressuring us. They booked tango tickets, flights, car services, hotels, a foodie tour, and served essentially as a trusted local source on the ground before and during our stay. Loli is extremely knowledgeable about all things Buenos Aires and Argentina and Hummingbird ensured our stay was a tremendous success. I now consider Loli a friend for life and look forward to returning to Argentina and working with Hummingbird again!

Loli is great to work with for travel

It was wonderful to work with Loli of The Hummingbird Trip. Being a native Argentinian, Loli was supremely knowledgeable and resourceful about her home country and all it has to offer and was able to expertly cater to our needs of adventure, a little downtime and lots of great meals. Loli displayed great attention to detail and was very thorough, too often waiting for us to return an email than the other way around. Loli had fabulous suggestions for our family of four (two teenagers 14 & 17) making amazing hotel and dining reservations, and providing unforgettable excursions in El Calafate, Bariloche and Buenos Aires with knowledgeable and very friendly tour guides. It was wonderful to work directly with a travel company in the country of our destination; Loli was able to meet us on our first day in BA and then she made the effort to meet us to say goodbye on our last with a bottle of Argentinian wine and sweets for the kids. A very nice touch. Hummingbird was such a pleasure to work with and we hope to use them again for a future trip to Argentina.

Loli was a dream to work with from the beginning. Not only did she schedule a customized Buenos Aires tour for me and my friend, but she also helped answer questions about our whole itinerary.This was my first trip to South America, and I quickly learned that email correspondence isn’t as reliable as it is in the States. Loli was definitely the exception. She got back to us right away and was extremely helpful. She actually saved our whole trip - unbeknownst to us, there was a world leader summit in Buenos Aires when our tour was scheduled, and if it weren’t for Loli we would have had no idea. She helped us rebook a hotel in an area that wasn’t near the summit, offered suggestions for activities in El Chalten (where we had to stay a couple extra days due to a flight cancelation), and rescheduled our tour.Domi was our tour guide and Richard was our driver. They were FABULOUS. We ended up only having 24 hours in Buenos Aires, and we spent almost 7 of them with our guides. We felt that we soaked up everything we could in a short amount of time, and we are so thankful that they made our journey the best it could be.

Loli planned a fantastic two week itinerary for us which included amazing experiences in Buenos Aires, El Calafate, Bariloche, and Mendoza. The hotels and restaurants she selected for us were outstanding. The guides and drivers were knowledgable, friendly and professional. She created an itinerary that enabled us to appreciate the culture, beauty and people of Argentina. Loli payed attention to every detail to make sure that we had a smooth, safe and enjoyable journey.
