National Car Rental

I rent cars very frequently, for business and pleasure - I am also a National Emerald club member. Unfortunately renting a car from National at Calafate airport will be remembered as the worst car rental experiences of my life. The service is incredibly slow, unfriendly and unprofessional. There is a huge lack of certainty in how documents and used, scanned and processed. Despite my loyalty with National, the car I received was severely unsafe due to a very broken windscreen impairing driver vision, faulty electronics and doors that would not open from the inside and out. Despite this, nothing could be done - I was then charged additional charges without warning or explanation. I appreciate there are limited choices in Calafate airport. However please do avoid for your own safety and security. Safety should not be compromised at any cost
